Tree ID 234775 – Girth 405cm
GR SJ4138288768
This beautiful 300 year old beech on the right of the photograph is the first tree in the avenue along the path leading from the Hall to the ornamental garden. The path is no longer visible but the line of the trees shows us where it used to be.
This beech qualifies as a veteran with water holes in its roots and deadwood in its crown and with a circumference of 405cm, it is one of the oldest and largest trees on the site.
