Looking after Childwall Woods and Fields, keeping paths open, enhancing habitats, removing invading species such as Japanese knotweed, Himalayan balsam and rhododendron, all these cost money and time.

The reserve is owned by Liverpool City Council but in practice the day to day running falls to the Friends.  An active voluntary group, the Friends have been established over 30 years and are in the process of becoming a charity to make even more efficient use of your money.
