Some years ago a member of the committee had the idea to plant a small fruit orchard on the middle field. It seemed a good idea at the time. Now, a couple of years later, the full scale of the task of maintenance in the face of full scale scrub encroachment has become clear.
Today a brave team of volunteers tackled the task firstly of finding the fruit trees, then clearing the head high encroaching scrub.
